Goin’ Bald for Bucks

What is Goin’ Blad for Bucks? It is a great, visual way to show your support for compassionate cancer patient care support programs while having an unforgettable time! Participants raise funds and then shave their heads or cut their hair for Pantene Beautiful Lengths.

How does it work? Participants collect pledges to have their hair shaved or cut to support adolescent and young adult patient care programs at Wilmot Cancer Center, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, and 13thirty Cancer Connect.

Who can shave or cut hair? Anyone! Ask cosmetology students from your school or a local hair salon to volunteer their time to handle the shaving or cutting the day of the event.

What if you only want to cut your hair? No problem! You can follow the Pantene Beautiful Lengths “Hair Donation Guidelines” for length and type of hair and complete a Hair Donation Form (hair donation form).

What happens at a Goin’ Bald for Bucks event? You can plan your Bald for Bucks event any way you like. You can also decide whether you want to make the event open to the public or a private affair.

When can you Go Bald for Bucks? Anytime – the possibilities are endless! It’s easy to make your Goin’ Bald For Bucks fundraiser a “hair shaving” success! Just follow the button links at the top of this page to get started. You can also call the Goin’ Bald for Bucks team at 585-276-4717 or email goinbaldforbucks@roswellpark.org with any questions you might have!

You can participate by registering yourself, your school or your organization and get started fundraising today.

Gifts in Honor of Someone Special

A gift takes on special meaning when made in honor of someone special. Use our printable form or give online. We will be sure the person you are honoring or that person’s family knows of your thoughtfulness.

Matching Gifts

What better way to maximize your contribution than taking advantage of your employer’s matching gift program? Ask your human resources department for a matching gift form, fill out your portion, and enclose it with your donation.

Organize a Fundraiser

Here are a few ideas:  Organize a “walk-a-thon” at your local high school, host a golf tournament, ask your local scout troop to have a bottle and can drive,  organize a “battle of the bands” with local high-school bands.  Need more ideas?  Send us an e-mail (staff@13thirty.org) or give a call (585-563-6221) and we can talk!
